Here are my predictions for this Saturday’s semi-final games.
ND 31 Clemson 28
With the likes of Te’Von Coney and Drue Tranquill defending the run, The Irish will be able to contain the all-American Travis Etienne and hold him to less than 100 yards and no more than 1 TD. Although Trevor Lawrence will have a good game, Ian Book and the Irish offense will be able to do enough both on the ground and through the air (especially with no Dexter Lawrence) to get the win on a game-winning field goal from Justin Yoon.
Alabama 48 Oklahoma 38
Kyler Murray alone is enough to keep Oklahoma in any game, and he is surrounded by great weapons in Hollywood Brown, C.D. Lamb, and Trey Surmon. Even with how good Alabama’s defense is, there’s no way they can hold Murray and the Sooners to less than 35 points. Nonetheless, Tua and Co. will score tons of points against the horrendous Oklahoma defense. Alabama should win this game commandingly, but it won’t be a huge blowout like many think it will be.
