Following Hurts losing his starting job to Tua Tagovailoa, this past week former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts transferred to Oklahoma. Oklahoma Head Coach Lincoln Riley has developed two Heisman winning quarterbacks in the past to years in Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. Hopefully, he will be able to develop Hurts into a highly desired prospect when he leaves Oklahoma. Overall, this is a good move for Hurts and his future.
What does this mean for the rest of college football? Well, it could make for a more interesting Heisman race with Tua, Trevor Lawrence, and maybe Hurts. It also allowed Oklahoma backup Austin Kendall transfer to West Virginia and follow Will Grier. Hopefully, this all leads to an Alabama vs. Oklahoma matchup in the CFP with Tua and Hurts at QB.
