Fear the Deer. Everyone in the NBA should be thinking this come playoff time. They have a potential MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo who is putting up 27.1 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 6 assists a game. They have a tremendous supporting cast in All-Star Khris Middleton, solid guards Malcolm Brogdon and Eric Bledsoe, and sharpshooting big Brook Lopez who is currently making 2.5 3s a game. The Bucks hold the 5th best offensive rating in the league at 114 and have the best defensive rating in the league at 105. They have the best net rating in the league at 8.89. The Warriors are second with a 6.36 net rating.
Aside from the raw statistics, the Bucks have made great roster moves to inch themselves ahead of the Celtics and Raptors. They added even more shooting and spacing with Nikola Mirotic, a career 36% 3 point shooter. George Hill brings in a veteran guard presence. Today they picked up Pau Gasol. Gasol may not add a ton of value on the court, but he has won 2 NBA Championships and knows what it takes to win. He brings a great presence to the young Bucks. With a bevy of talent surrounding an MVP caliber player, the Bucks can make a run to the NBA Championship. Bucks in 6.
