Antonio Brown’s tenure in Pittsburgh came to a very rocky, and publicized, end this past week. Following rumors that the Steelers and the Bills had verbally agreed to a trade involving Brown, the Raiders came through and took charge.
The Raiders sent a third round and a fifth round pick in exchange for the 7-time Pro Bowler and last year’s leader in touchdown catches. This trade is a big win for the Raiders. They get an elite receiver, still have three first round draft picks, and the fourth pick in the second round.
Pittsburgh has essentially wasted millions of dollars towards the salary cap. They do have a lot of mid and late round draft picks and will look to find another gem like they did with Brown when he was drafted.
Winners: Oakland Raiders and Antonio Brown
Losers: Pittsburgh Steelers
