Canes v. Bruins
Blues v. Sharks
As the conference finals of the NHL Playoffs are beginning, I am going to give my predictions for each series.
Canes v Bruins
My pick: Canes in 7
The Canes have been a Cinderella story this year. Justin Williams has been a magnificent addition to the team and has taken a role as the leader of the Canes and his playoff experience throughout his career is most definitely helping in the locker room. Charlie McAvoy is suspended for the first game due to his high hit in Game 7 against Columbus. Marchand has been through a lot these playoffs and has been getting under teams skins throughout the playoffs, but I think this series the Canes may be able to drown him out and focus on what has gotten them to where they are. I think it will be a great series, but I am choosing the Canes because they are on a roll.
Blues v Sharks
My pick: Sharks in 6
I have had the Sharks as my west coast prediction all year. With their line-up and the Karlsson addition in free agency as a fellow defenseman to Brent Burns (most minutes per game in these playoffs), the Sharks defense as well as their offensive defensemen play is hard to beat. Pat Maroon the and the Blues beat Dallas in an impressive 7 game series and the Sharks beat the Avs in 7 so we will see how this one goes.
