Is Antonio Brown Crazy or a Genius?

NFL-Antonio-Brown8Fox News

I think that it is pretty widely accepted that Antonio Brown has pulled some absolutely wild moves over the past year or so.  It all started with beef in Pittsburgh that involved locker room fights with Ben Roethlisberger.  This part made a little bit of sense to me because Big Ben has never been rumored to be easy to get along with.

Apparently, AB threw a football at Roethlisberger which is a nice little role reversal that you don’t usually get to see in the NFL.  After that was the whole debacle with the trade to the Raiders that was originally rumored to be a trade to the Bills.

Once he got to Oakland he pretty much settled down and behaved like a normal NFL player.  Just kidding, but you know that.  Then was the whole helmet ordeal where Brown wanted to wear a helmet that failed the NFL’s safety tests, which is an oxymoron.

Then, my favorite part was the frostbite from the cryotherapy.  I know that everyone is pretty desensitized to some of the crazy stories that come out of the sports world these days, but ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE NFL HAD FROSTBITE.  That is utterly ridiculous.

Finally, the whole fight with Mike Mayock, the Raiders’ GM, and the release, and signing with New England.  I think that Antonio Brown pulled a very long con to get to the best organization in the NFL.  This may be far-fetched, but so is this entire story.  I am going to choose to believe that Antonio Brown knew what it was going to take to get to the Patriots and he gave his all to get there.

At the end of the day, this story provided nearly endless entertainment throughout the Summer.  Thank you, Antonio Brown, for being smarter than anyone ever.
